  • Port House

Zaha Hadidplein 1, 2030 Antwerpen, Belgium

At SGS, sustainability and innovation are embedded in our culture and the way we do business. On 20 November, starting from 3pm CET, SGS will hold a demonstration event to showcase an innovative service it recently launched after more than two years of development and pioneering work. This fully digitalized drone, designed to fly up to 50 km and carrying up to 15 kg, can reduce the transport time of samples by up to 6 times, improve turnaround time and reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80%.

The live demonstration will take place at the Port House in the Port of Antwerp. This architectural jewel designed by world renowned architect Zaha Hadid is undoubtedly one of the most high-profile eye-catchers of the city's skyline. The bottom part was once a fire station. The top part is a striking and contemporary superstructure in the shape of a diamond. As such, it is a metaphor for the port of the 21st century: a port with a rich history, ready to face the future head-on.
